In this 6 days adventure, you will visit Kibale, Queen Elizabeth & Lake Mburo National Parks, Bigodi wetland & Ishasha Sector & participate in activities like; Chimpanzee tracking, Tree Climbing Lions Tracing, game drives, boat cruises, guided walk in nature, Zebras. Itinerary for 6-Days Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Ishasha & Zebras Adventure

Day 1
To Kibale National Park with a stopover at Amabereganyinamwiru Cultural Site

On this day, you will have your breakfast at leisure and embark on a drive to Kibale National park with several stops along the way for beautiful scenery, landscape viewing among others before reaching Fort Portal town for your lunch.

After lunch, you will go for stalagmites, Crater lakes, birds viewing, Hill climbing among others at Amabereganyinamwiru cultural site in Fort Portal before checking in to Kibale Forest Camp for your relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

On your arrival, you will check in to Kibale Forest Camp for your dinner & overnight stay. Your stay in Kibale Forest Camp for the next two nights will offer you a unique jungle experience. You will get absorbed by forest smells and sounds, spot primates swinging through the trees and observe rare birds & beautiful butterflies fluttering around. The elegant tented camp is located in a patch of evergreen forest which borders the Magombe swamp & is a mere 10 min drive to where your chimp tracking will start.

Day 2
Chimpanzees Tracking & Visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast before moving to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzees Tracking experience where you will have the opportunity to follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures at a close range. Watching them interact with each other and go about their daily routine of grooming, playing and foraging is an incredible experience. While your chances of encountering chimpanzees are high during your tracking excursion, it is never 100% guaranteed. These are, after all, wild animals with wills and minds of their own!

In the afternoon after your lunch, you can choose whether you would like to go for Community walk or go deeper into the forest on a Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary; home to 8 primate species, over 200 bird species, butterflies and various reptiles before returning to the Lodge/Camp for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3
To Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Boat Safari

After your morning breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori with several stops along the way for relaxation, equator and landscape viewing before reaching the Park in the afternoon.

You will have lunch and later in the day when the sun is high in the sky and the animals make their way to the river for a drink, you will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephants and buffalo will also be wandering down to the shoreline to bath in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.

After your afternoon boat safari, you will check in to Pumba Safari Cottages for your dinner & overnight stay. Pumba Safari Cottages is a great Lodge by Queen Elizabeth national park-located in a prime wildlife area. The lodge is located in Kyambura overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4
Game Drives at Kyambura & Ishasha Sector

On this day, your safari breakfasts will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive at Kyambura sector as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Elephants, buffalo and several species of antelope are some of the characters you may come across today, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.

After the drive, you will return to the Lodge for lunch and relaxation. After your lunch, you will go for your afternoon game drive at Ishasha sector where you will expect to see animals like; tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Lions, bush pigs, antelopes families among others.

After your afternoon game drive, you will check in to Ishasha Ntungwe River Camp for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5
To Lake Mburo National Park for Afternoon Boat Safari

On this day, you will have your morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the smallest and is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.

You will arrive in the afternoon and have lunch and go for afternoon boat safari that will get you come face to face with the flora and fauna of the lake. And along the bank, you will also see many animals that come to the water especially in the dry season. You will also see many hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, and over 3 types of otters that are found in the lake. Also when it comes to the birds, you will view the malachite kingfishers, African Fish eagles, blue headed weavers, Rufuos long tailed starlings, the pied kingfishers, hammerkobs, Herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill as well as the cormorants.

After your boat safari, you will check in to Eagle’s Nest Lodge located on a high hill with the best views in Uganda for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6
Game Drive & Departure

On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise in this beautiful side of Uganda with your safari breakfast served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive where you will be assured of spotting Zebras, Buffalos, Impalas, Warthogs, Waterbucks among others.

After your game drive, your guide will drive you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe and drop you off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time. Please make sure your flight departure is after 4 pm at the very earliest.
